For the past month or two, spammers have been signing up about a dozen accounts on this forum every day. None of the usual spam-control measures, like the capcha, e-mail registration or required custom fields are even slowing them down. Until I find a way to limit the spam, which is wasting a lot of time to remove, automatic registration will be disabled. If you would like to register, please send me an e-mail with your name and the username and password you would like. My email address is my username at jenks.us:

Please put "Puzzlepiece Registration" in the subject so I can eventually find it if it gets put in the spam folder.

Thank you for adding that level of security to your site. It is unbelievable to me that spammers exist... one of the many evils of the growth of technology.

I look forward to when this isn't necessary. Maybe when I get around to updating to the latest version of pbpBB I'll try again. I certainly don't want anyone to feel discouraged to register or participate.
