List,
I have been asked to comment on the matter of Root bark availability. The
root of the bark of the Tabernanthe iboga plant does contain the most
Ibogaine in the plant. This can be from as low as 1/4% to as high as 6% with
an average of 2-3%.
IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO IMPORT THIS SUBSTANCE INTO THE U.S. I believe
it would be a felony.
Back to the root. Unless you know how potent it is, you are in for some
testing. My preference with the root bark, if a chemist is not available, is
to make a water /wine/lemon juice extract. You might start by soaking 200
grams of the root bark in a mixture of half water/half red wine and squeeze
in a half a lemon or a full lemon. Shake often. Let sit for a week. Bring
to a simmer and simmer until the alcohol would be gone from the mixture. Let
sit overnight then experimentation or not is up to you. It is ALWAYS best to
have someone around who is familiar with Ibogaine. It is a very powerful
substance. That is my preference as I do not like the combination of alcohol
and Ibogaine. You would then have to begin to drink portions of the brew.
If you have 200 grams and you are getting 1% Ibogaine out of it that would
be 2 grams of Ibogaine. That is a lot of Ibogaine. A dose depending on your
response might be from 15 mg/kg to 25 mg/kg. If you get 2% or more alkaloids
out then you have more Ibogaine. But, remember this is all crude herbal
stuff and the best person to ask would be the provider concerning potency.
But, once again, Ibogaine is restricted (illegal) in the U.S., Belgium and
Switzerland.
As you may all know my druthers is to use Ibogaine in a hospital. You all be
careful out there.
